These past few years have shown that we must be vigil all the time .. not just in times of crisis. I have heard statements similar to .. "Well, what is happening won't affect me. Who's in power/control of the government doesn't really matter."
It probably won't directly affect me either, as I won't be here in a few years, but I fear for those who will be.
