Looking together in the same direction.

Looking together in the same direction.
Sea otters hold hands while they sleep so they don't drift apart.

Pay attention.

Be astonished.

Tell about it."

John Lewis

Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Do not become bitter or hostile. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. We will find a way to make a way out of no way. #goodtrouble

Full quote by John Lewis.

Get in good trouble, necessary trouble....the late John Lewis

     I am so very proud of the brave people of Portland.....the wall of Moms, wall of leaf-blower wielding Dads, the wall of Vets, wall of Grandmas.....risking their health and even their lives to save America from fascism and trump's mercenaries. It will take all of us.

Update, I just read that 10-15 thousand are marching in Portland tonight, along with the Wall of Moms in yellow, Wall of Dads in orange, Wall of Vets, there are Teachers Against Tyrants in green, Healthcare Workers in scrubs, Lawyers for BLM in purple. So awesome. Forget the 2nd amendment, it is the 1st amendment that will triumph over this despot.

Thousands are gathering in Aurora, CO tonight outside the police department to rally for Elijah McClain and to express solidarity with Portland protesters.  McClain was killed by Aurora Police in Aug. 2018 as he was walking home. BLM

“To make us love our country, our country ought to be lovely.” ― Edmund Burke

“Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.”

― William Butler Yeats, The Collected Poems of W.B. Yeats

     The illegal fireworks are really bad this year.  They are not allowed due to high fire danger.  My poor dog has been so miserable.
