Running is a gift. It is hard to remember sometimes that not everyone is able to run. I must remind myself of this on these sunless freezing snow-filled days when my only runs are short ones on the treadmill. I can't wait for spring! However, more winter is in store again later this week.
It is hard to remain "Johnson Strong" sometimes, kiddos, but I will persevere. My next race is the Statesman Cap 10k in Austin in April with my "Johnson Strong" family team-mates. I know they are in training, too. Sydney and Alex train with their Middle School team, Kuldeep volunteers for their team. She and Jason are training. My niece, Laura, is going to run or walk it, too. If they can do it, so can I.
